I went through a mystery phase about 10 years ago, and I loved Susan Wittig 
Albert and Ellis Peters. (-: Wouldn't it be fun to see something like that 
on Barrayar?

I don't think Ekaterin would write a book; although, she might write a 
garden program for the comconsole. Or have one adapted from her real 
gardens. I think she'd be much more a hands-on person at this point in her 
life.

Although later, when the kids are grown and she's getting a bit arthritic, 
perhaps she would draw gardens, like Sasha Tudor.

Mysteries on Barrayar -- I'd expect them to have a strong patriotic 
component, and a lot of adventure to them. Maybe something more like James 
Bond. Even mysteries for women would have a strong dose of Vor and military, 
I think.
