And I third Elizabeth's emotion and identify with Ma Foxti's
addition. Though I fear I can't give the accolade of
"honourable" to my ex.

Probably one of the most wonderful things that occurred in my
life because of LMB's works (and this list) was having James
Bryant meet me in Ekaterinburg (Russia). With a bunch of lovely
Western things that I was dying for at that point in my trip.
And an offer of a signed hardback copy of ACC. Which I...turned
down. With extreme difficulty. But I'd had the good fortune to
read it before leaving for Russia via an ARC, and I was casting
things off left right and center to make room for research
materials. So, even though it was signed, I felt I had to
refuse. *whimper*

Just in case anyone was wondering: Yes, James did still wear his
sandals. In Siberia. In October (or was it November?). In the
snow and slush. But with socks!

Cheers,
Amy ~ glad to have been apart of this amazing group for - eep,
has it been 14 years? I wish there were some way for me to
write up all the Stuff I've Learned on the List. I bet it would
go into volumes!
