I've worked quotes from her into my own amateur fiction, such as the  
"wrestling with temptation---best two falls out of three" bit from  
_Memory._  I also am in the habit of quoting her on the impossibility  
of staying on one side of a line when those who wish me to do so  
refuse to define where that line happens to be.

I daresay that my best-beloved is pleased enough by this; she's said  
that I quote an awful lot of Mencken, so this is a pleasant change.   
I've told her that the time to worry most is when I start quoting  
Ambrose Bierce's nonfiction, or Philip Wylie's philippics.
