[LMB] AKICOT:L - Adobe Reader problems

I'm asking you lot because nobody else I know has as many ideas on  
how to fix things than this list (ummm, that was a compliment)

I just borrowed "Fire Study" (the third Snyder) from my library and  
unfortunately they only have it in Adobe pdf format.  I managed to  
get the other two to load up on my Palm no problems but this one is  
causing me heartache.

I have downloaded the book and can open it on my PC (I use my PC for  
Palm related stuff, not my eMac) and read it perfectly.   
Unfortunately when I transfer it to the Palm as per the normal  
instructioons, all the pages are blank.  The table of contents  
appears and lists all the chapters etc., when you tap on a chapter  
the little Adobe thingy does its dance of the arrows but nothing  
appears.  I've tried deleting and reinstalling the book on the Palm  
but no joy.

I'm rather stuck as reading on the PC is very tiring for me and I'd  
like to read this one lying in bed at night - and of course I only  
have one more week until it runs out and someone else gets it.  Does  
anyone have any hints for me?
