I have greatly enjoyed that series, hosted by no lesser a person than 
RoboCop himself, Peter Weller, who is professor of History at 
University of Michigan, I believe.

There is another series, titled ENGINEERING AN EMPIRE, which I think 
you'd all enjoy with equal gusto.   They're a feast for the mind.
