I don't think that Gregor will leave his throne early (barring serious illness perhaps.) However, I also believe that Gregor has learned the lesson of under-employed high nobility. I can easily see him sending his heirs (male and female) out into the wormhole nexus with real jobs with real responsibility. I don't think Gregor wants any more little admirals.
