Since 1066 the British monarchy has been Norman/French,  Even more French,
Welsh, Scottish, German. Just possibly the houses of York and Lancaster
before the Tudors would count as English I'd have to check who they married,
but for the most part the royal family has neither been of English origin
nor married English from 1066 up to the 20th century. In the 20th century
both George VI and the heir apparent, Prince Charles married British wives.
