I am seriously NOT in the men reading romances department, and perhaps
that is what has hampered my enjoyment of _Sharing Knife_ so far, but
there are exceptions, notably the Vorkosigan stuff, and Chalion as well.
I also enjoyed the four-part series of Elektra and Daredevil, *in the
original issues where Elektra first appeared*. And _Sunshine_. And a
few other odds and ends. But I generally avoid any indication of
romance in fiction.
I know this is not what you asked, but I think you are asking for
marketing purposes? What sells? For me, I love a good mystery, in any
genre. SF mystery, Fantasy mystery, mystery mystery, even
techno-thriller/adventure mystery, if it's well-written. I see no
reason why nearly any niche genre can't have a mystery story (slash
mystery?).
