[LMB] trashy books for guys - what's the difference?

Higgins, Maclean, Dick Francis... I read them, And I got the habit from
my mother, so that's two.

The Executioner-type stuff I read in my twenties, don't now.

And I am weirdly addicted to CC Humphries Jack Absolute books, which are 
definitely that genre, historical trappings aside.
