Sewing by hand and with a treadle machine. I still have my grandmother's
treadle machine, and it was in working order the last time I checked, although
getting smooth, fine, even thread could be difficult. Quilting. Some
knowledge of herbal remedies and medicine. Basic carpentry and repairs--I have
built partitions, shelves, hung doors, that kind of thing. Water-bath canning.
Hunting, fishing, recognizing some edible wild plants. I suppose my
knowledge of plumbing and electrical wiring wouldn't be much use, though. <g>
