Alas, I'd be dead by now.  I am a bit of a programmer, and not much 
else.  I could help with the heavy lifting, I suppose, and commit 
plagiarism by retelling a ghost story or two, but then I would go blind 
and eventually die of kidney failure as my diabetes got out of control. 
  Depending on when civilization fell, I might have died young, from a 
burst gall bladder.

I might volunteer to fight against a cannibal army, using home grown 
mustard gas, to save a nuclear power plant from being destroyed.
