I'd be in someone's attic. I'm not terribly prone to suicide
attempts but the depression and ADHD make me really unproductive
and useless without medication. I can run games without them.
And occasionally once every six months or so might clean
something. Don't expect me to cook my own meals, do much more
than that or even get dressed and out of bed every day without
them?
Also, depending upon when civilisation fell, I too might have
died young. First of all, I had a 105 degree (F) fever as a
small child, at least once that I remember, and secondly, I am
one of those women whose reproductive systems are broken in a way
that doesn't prevent conception but prevents carrying safely to
term; if I manage to stay pregnant more than 3 months I go
rapidly into pre-eclampsia and the one time I made it to 7 I had
a placental abruption that did for the baby and nearly did for
me. (No on or offlist sympathy notes, please; this was 15 years
ago and I'd rather not be reminded of the emotions.)
I'm fixed (six months after that), so I'd be fine in that respect
if it fell today, but if it fell at any time before I got fixed,
that'd likely do for me but good.
