How would you count me?  I take, at last count, 13 different 
medications.  Prescription, I mean.  The OTC stuff, tack on three more. 
  The doctor panics when I need another med.  He couldn't do it if his 
computer didn't tell him about the various drug interactions.

I did quit taking the Novolog (short term insulin) when I reduced my 
kcalorie intake, and lost enough weight.  I might could stop taking the 
statin, for a while, at least, if I stay on the diet much longer.  Other 
than that, I need pretty much everything I take.  I could live without 
the Provigil, if I had to, but I would turn into a slug.  Make that a 
snail.

Oh, and then there is the CPAP machine (sleep apnea-treating device). 
It's definitely either/or between it and the Provigil.  Couldn't get by 
without both, must have one or the other.
