Add me to that list, ergo my determination to go out at Red Cross
Headquarters trying to prop civilisation back up.
Should I survive ... well, even with no meds and possibly no glasses I
am quite good at both first aid and ongoing nursing, I can cook an
alarming array of things over a fire, I can clean fish, I can handsew
well and mend VERY well, I used to be able to knap flint and could
probably pick it up again, I'm quite good with babies, and (after the
first month, which I would doubtless spend jonesing madly for a
cigarette and therefore be surly as all get out) I'm very good at
nonviolent conflict resolution and gently depressing the pretensions of
authoritarian types, both of which skills I fear me will be needed
fairly urgently and on an ongoing basis.
Marna.
