This of course depends on where you live. Here where I am in the Upper 
Ohio Valley (Weirton,WV) the rivers are presently, or were earlier in 
the day, at flood stage. It's all over the local news, from Pittsburgh 
to Wheeling. A couple of streets in Pittsburgh had to be closed due to 
high water, and a wharf used for parking -- all of which caused hassles 
for commuters -- and a homeless woman was rescued when the underpass she 
was using as shelter from the rain was inundated.

True, and fortunately, the rivers aren't always flooded. But in this 
area, at least, "rivers ...drying up" is the least of our worries.
