Recent studies on the lifespans in comparison to BMI should bode you well
then. Those who are overweight have significantly reduced odds of getting a
range of life threatening diseases and the increased chance of Heart
problems is less than the reduction in other stuff. 

Also interestingly Nitrates in Bacon and other process meats have been shown
to increase the chances of getting certain cancers but on the flip side the
Nitrates in them help the heart muscle so if you suffer a heart attack it
may be milder and you may recover faster. 

The upshot is the healthiest you can be is to be overweight from the
consumption of Bacon, cos the chances of non-heart issues are reduced and
while the chances of a heart attack are increased your chances of surviving
it are better :-)
