ok, that makes sense. Thank you, David and Jim - your
explanations helped a lot. 

I think I was reading too much into it... I was trying to make
it work out to 100% of all online adults, figuring that 66% was
a red herring (they do that to us on occasion.) 

I agree, Jim, I think it's poorly worded. several of the other
story problems in that section are, too, and depending on which
way you interpret it, you get different equations.

(some days, I find working equations to be soothing. Other
times, I really wonder if the myth is true, and 'algebra' and
'gibberish' do have the same root word.)
