I have pretty bad sleep apnea.  I wear a mask, but quite often take
it off in my sleep.  I need the caffeine and the Provigil to help
overcome the cognitive effects of the lack of oxygen.

Yes, I am disgusted with the overspecialization of dentistry (and
other professions.  (I really have no room to be talking, though.
I am in the computer field.  Or used to be.)  My dentist is not
afraid of a root canal, or a routine extraction, so I am lucky,
there.  He is pretty sharp.  I think he would send me out to have
wisdom teeth pulled, but fortunately (or not), I already had that
done, years ago.
