None of the combo DVD and VCR recorders will do it.  You need two 
machines + plus a gadget in between that removes the copy protection 
from the signal.  They are somewhat expensive (around $US100.00) and do 
not always work quite as advertised.  Mine removes the copy protection, 
but messes up the picture in other ways.  It works barely acceptably.  I 
got it at Best Buy.  You might try an internet source or an ad in the 
back of a magazine.  It's a crap shoot whether you find a better one. 
If anybody know of a good source, now is the time to speak up.  I'd like 
to hear it myself.  Note: I have no desire to bootleg, or otherwise 
break the law, I just want to preserve my investment.
