Yes, because most of the antigun political maneuvering focuses on
the evil looking weapons, so weapons that might be way more dangerous
get ignored because it is socially more acceptable to pursue evil looking
ones regardless of their lethality.
Sort of why animal rights activists throw paint on rich women who wear
fur, it's a lot safe than throwing paint on bikers who wear leather...
A friend of mine's daughter who is now seven and went hunting with
daddy out at the Ranch (my place) for the first time this years wants
a pink rifle. So, my colorblind friend spent some amount of time to
select the right shade of pink to paint a .22lr with which she can hunt with
daddy.
