[LMB] (chat) Galleys yay!

Ah ha --

The galleys for _Passage_ finally arrived this morning, five days
later than intended but good enough. I've started my first read-through
-- they look very clean indeed. Man, I still love this book, even at
this stage of late overdose.

The next related para-book work for this volume will doubtless be
some on-line PR stuff, climaxing in a book tour at the end of
April/beginning of May, but really, when the galleys go back to New York
the book is essentially bagged. You all will doubtless spot the bound
galleys on e-Bay before I do. I know there are at least four people on
this very list who have read the manuscript, but I suppose I ought not
encourage cruel snerking and teasing. Much.

Now I await (still) the line edit for Volume 4. I'd been expecting
it in early December, but stuff evidently happened. I did improve the
hours by cleaning my office yesterday, a between-books chore I'd been
putting off. I think it has something to do with firing up my neglected
exercise program last week; fix the body and the mind will follow. In
fact, *start* with the body. Because by this stage of winter
deconditioning it needs some lead time.

And my new water softener was successfully installed, to boot. Now
my glassware will stop looking like nascent stalagmites.

    Ta, L.
