I'm minded of another related prank in which the user took 
a legal hunter's tool, swapped out the standard stock for

a pistol grip, and added a flash suppressor and bayonet
mount, to create an "illegal assault" type implement.


Silly law tricks. 





I'm coming in late.  Y'all already discussed (as OT:
or in comparison to Vor-law) the proposal to outlaw
Katana-style swords in the UK? 


On a completely not unrelated topic, the Pouncer clan
just took delivery of the "One Laptop Per Child" project's
school computer.  Lime green on white, with "rabbit ear"
style wi-fi anntenna.  Market the same thing in dark
blue and silver and you'd get $1000 bucks for it.  

Sadly, uisng it to access the online email client for AOL is
eh...  Slow respone.  TINY keyboard.  


Surfing is fine, though. 

Nigeria has just refused to deploy their donated laptops on the 
grounds that the international-alphabet keyboard on the OLPC
laptop violates local Nigerian patents on multi-lingual 
keyboards.  Maybe if the makers added a bayonet mount it could
be imported as a weapon instead of an office machine...
