I just bought a large capacity USB "thumb" drive, 8 GB. The problem is,
it is formatted as FAT32, and has a hard limit on file size of 4 GB. I
want to put 5 GB files on it, and the best way is to reformat it to
NTFS. Unfortunately, the firmware of the drive tells Windows XP that it
is a removable media, and Windows is stubborn and won't allow me to
format it as anything other than FAT32.
How do I convince Windows that it is okay to format as NTFS?
Any help would be appreciated. You may reply off-list if you have a
solution.
Thanks! guys!
