Why in the world would anyone give an animal artificial
sweeteners?  Sure they're tested on some species before they're
released to the market, but there's no need.

My cat is not allowed to drink Diet Coke even though she begs for
it (she begs for everything).  She weighs seven pounds.  I, on
the other hand, weigh 250, and don't like the taste of corn
syrup.  So I drink the Splenda Diet Coke.  But my cat does not
need to!

And wild animals certainly don't.
