The product key is usually on the packaging of the disk or the disk sleeve.
I can't remember seeing on the disk itself in recent years.

Look for something like this:
S9KBB-A78LM-MM977-XZBG3-15TE9

Sometimes it'll be on a sticker on the box or the sleeve, sometimes just
printed on a label.

The key will not be on the computer.  Look through everything Gateway sent
you. <sigh>  Look especially hard on the stuff that was closest to the disk.
