Another naive (and quasi-rhetorical) question here.  I find it *much* easier 
to have my email reader sort all my incoming messages into their own folders 
than to scroll down through a digest.  It takes me roughly half the time to 
skim individual messages with my finger on the delete key than it does to 
mess with a digest.

Why do people actually prefer digests to sorting rules?  Or are people 
actually using readers primitive enough not to have sorting rules?  And if 
so, *why,* for crying out loud?

who will take as a given those who have particular setups and for technical 
reasons can't change them, so you don't need to leap down my throat about 
that -- but still feels rather like Cordelia and "no *comconsoles*?" about 
this
