That's not quite right, but very close, I think. In _The Stars, My
Destination_, people could *teleport* anywhere they could visualize, so
people made it deliberately hard to visualize the insides of places
where valuables were kept, e.g., rich people had mazes in their homes.
If you haven't read the book, go ahead and do so, it's quite good,
Bester's best.
