Interestingly, I first found Heyer and Sayers from randomly listening
to books on tape from the local library (listened to those a lot while
playing with the flies), then going after the actual books.  I started
on Bujold just before that (also on audiobook, but they were pushed on
me by a friend).

But it was all independently.

Austen, I read some in school, wasn't too impressed by did enjoy it.
I really got into Austen a lot more around the same time.

Bronte, I have always liked Jane Eyre since I was in school.  But I'm
not really fond of any of the other books by any Bronte.  Hated
Wuthering Heights and still do.  Not sure how many of the others I've
read.  Listened to Vilette (sp?) on tape, but wasn't too hooked.
