I have to question the theory that the "Browse Inside" widget is a
better online reading experience. Although for an introductory chapter
or 2 I guess it isn't so bad. I just began to take a look at Neil
Gaiman's American Gods which is available in its entirety for free in
this format and began to hate it. Then I realized that I actually
possess a paper version of the book and I've switched to paper. This
is not my normal practice when reading eBooks when I also have the
paper version.
In my opinion the Browse Inside widget combines all the worst featires
of PDFs, mobipocket, MS Reader and other dedicated eReaders into a
single "only runs in the browser" instance. It is better than MS
Reader or mobipocket in that you can read it on a Linux PC but that
isn't something I consider to be a worthwhile trade off...
