You'd be about 9 years old? That really is way too young. I started Victoria novels with Jane
Eyre (I think) at about thirteen and well so madly in love with it that I couldn't get enough -
was disappointed to discover I didn't like the other Brontes, though I loved all Charlotte's
books. Then I went on to Dickens and he remains one of my favourite authors ever. Austen... not
so much. (Not enough heart.)

It might well, but it's a pity. On the other hand, there's no reason for everyone to like all the
same books.
