I remember when the Des Moines Register (suitable for reading,  
wrapping fish or training puppies) was running _Asterix._  The  
sequence that we got was the one where Asterix and Obelix get involved  
in a Viking voyage to America, under the command of "Blunder  
Blunderssen."  My dad absolutely adored it, not least because he was a  
Viking buff and as much of an expert as one could be without formal  
academic training or a command of Old Norse.
