[LMB] AKICOT:L Vacation planning -- advice, please

I'm contemplating a 2-week driving holiday. Probably in May, possibly May 10-26  (Memorial Day).

I'm interested in advice on Things To See, Places To Stay, and Where To Find Good Local Food from 
Pennsylvania to Maine, and all points in between.

Already on the itinerary:
Plimoth Plantation
Boston
Lexington & Concord
Salem
Mystic

I'm trying to keep my lodging costs under $100/night (yes, I know that's not much) so if anyone has 
suggestions for comparatively-inexpensive B&Bs, local hotels, etc. please speak up. The chains 
(Motel 6, Days Inn, etc) I can find on my own. *wry g*
