Well, really, they should drive back in the same cars, and then repeat 
the round trip with switched drivers.

We had a Diesel Rabbit in the 70s.  It routinely got about 51 mpg, back 
when Diesel fuel was cheaper than gasoline.  It's rear tires lasted 
forever, too, for some reason.

It was a good car.  Volkswagen no longer builds good cars.  That's why 
one must upgrade to a BMW.
