fawn mentioned lakewalker's black magic. we get a glimpse of this with dag
matching his heart to sean's and making them 'dance together'. based only
on the info so far, i wonder why making a mostly dead person become a mostly
alive person would be black magic? could it be that lakewalkers can do the
reverse, too? or is it just too creepy for the farmers, and when it doesn't
work, a malpractice suit is brought with lynch ropes and bonfires?
and i also wonder - based on chapter 2 - if the 'made man' is just
lakewalker prejudice? it said 'master want', does that mean that this huge
man (the 2 are described as big and bigger) is not itself the blight bogle
but an alternate danger? fawn seems scared enough of it.
> What captures your attention the most?
dag thinks that for once he won't be too late - was he too late for someone
else, or was someone a day late and a dollar short when he lost his hand?
like the spartans who stood their ground, expecting reinforcements that
never came. really curious about dag, he doesn't quite fit the 'handsome
stranger with mysterious past' standard role. not that i would expect him
to! *curtsies at author*

eh, not many expectations. girl meets boy, boy rescues girl, they live
happily ever after. we seem to be heading in the right direction here.

that actually makes a difference, now that i think of it.
blight bogle - it sounds dangerous, but no more than quicksand or a tornado
or a tree falling on someone's head. these things happen, no offense meant.
malice - we're here, and we're going to get you. and your little dog, too.
am i the only one thinking of the (legal?) term malice aforethought ?
