[LMB] Passage speculation

I haven't read it yet, and am trying to stay away from the spoilers so  far.
 
Pure speculation now.
 
But if the whole "logic" about the eponymous "Sharing Knife"  is
that it allows the malice to "learn about death" -- isn't there  risk
that the little bit of leftover malice in Dag (while he was ground
locked) might have "learned about birth" from the blade primed
with Fawn's unborn infant? 
 
Have to start by putting together bits from a host and a  helper.
Then growing, inside the host .. carefully without draining all 
of the host's resources; though certainly taking more than the
