[LMB] AKICOTL: looking for a Japanese word/expression

I seem to remember reading somewhere that when the Japanese economy hit 
a downturn in the nineties and many people got fired athere was this 
phenomenon of unemployed men who didn't tell their family about their 
job loss and left the house every morninng all dressed up and pretending 
to go to work. As far as I understood there was even a specific 
word/expression for it. I can't seem to google it. Does anyone know 
about this?
