However, there's still construction bits and pieces(and dust) in 2/3 of the kitchen cupboards and drawers, the dishwasher, washer, and dryer need to be hooked up, and four light fixtures need installing. Along with switchplates needing to be put on, other electrical connections checked, five doors rehung, and glass put in the basement window openings. This last I want done before I get any food in the kitchen. There are dusty nonhuman footprints all over the place-I don't think they're all cat tracks, even though there are loose cats in the area.

And the new ground cover on the slope in the front yard is creeping phlox, when I'd asked if it could be vinca minor or ivy. Never mind what I want, I'm just gonna live there and keep it weeded. Mike, my eldest stepbrother, is in the other half of the double, he doesn't have an opinion one way or the other.

He's got friends, they've got muscle, they can be bribed with pizza(they wish they could be bribed with beer, but they'll have to wait a couple of years for that.) Bert's even more of an optimist than I am. He's claiming he'll carry two boxes of books at a time. They're in copier paper cartons, so I don't believe him.

I assume you mean Mark Vorkosigan, and not Mark Allums or Mark A.
Mandel. But a rant in my name is acceptable.
