It really does help a lot, particularly for the crew that work from
the top of the roof. I take it the Fetch is a bit larger? I know that
there's a surprising amount of space in these old boats (I've seen the
Tall Ships a couple of times) but I have trouble seeing how the
described amount of stuff (two three-high bunk beds, a hearth, and the
boat's cargo, if memory serves) could fit into the cabin of that!
