I have never heard of an MP3 CD player that had trouble 
playing CD-R's. (That is what the MP3 CD feature is designed 
to read; there are NO *pressed* MP3 CD's. Even commercially 
sold MP3 CD's are burned CD-R's.) However, many MP3 CD 
players have trouble reading CD-RW's, even if they were 
burned and not made with packet writing software.

When you burn the CD-R's, if you are using Nero or Roxio, 
make sure to Finalize the disk; that is the step that 
completes the file system on the disk. Without that step, 
most players will not be able to recognize the data on the 
disk. If you use the "Disk at once" option, it finalizes the 
disk automatically; otherwise you have to check that option 
when you are burning. ITunes or similar programs should 
automatically finalize a disk if you choose an MP3 CD 
format.
