If the yarn was thick, it might knit up pretty fast. I've taken up crochet,
and I could probably crochet a pair of ad-lib socks in a few hours, with a
fat yarn. (I crocheted a pair of back-up mittens, without pattern at all
(thus "ad-lib mittens"), for my kid. It took... maybe a couple of days?
Not working flat out, either, since the keyboard needs my hands, too.)
