So, I'm racing through Jack McDevitt's _Seeker_ for today's meeting of 
the local sf club.  I'm on page 159 when my brain comes to such a 
screeching halt that I get whiplash of the mind.  Whoa, what was that!?, 
yells the back of my mind.  I stop, & reread the previous page, and 
there it is, bottom line on page 158.  There's a ship in this book 
called the Komar!  Hmmmm...  Now I'm wondering if this is an homage, and 
how many others have I missed 'coz I'm in such a hurry?

***  "Komar", with one "r", is also Russian for mosquito, I'm told, so I 
don't think it was an homage, just a coincidence.
