I recently checked out the first one (Twilight) from the
library and started it.  It's sitting on the dresser with
a bookmark a couple of chapters in, and isn't calling me
to keep reading--usually a sign that it will be abandoned
before long.

I read lots of YA, so it's not that.  Just not a compelling
story so far...
