I don't have a copy, but I'm betting that when someone who does tells us 
where it ended, it will be right after Miles passes his flight test and his 
former antagonist asks him to help him find a good blade.  At that point, 
all of the pertinent questions have been addressed, Miles has been shown to 
deserve his reputation (in both good ways and bad) and he has learned how to 
get along with those he one day hopes to command.
