Impact sports wear out bodies quite a bit.   The life spans of former  
NFL players is way lower than the national average, and they creak and  
hurt all their lives.   Surgeries are dangerous and do bad things.

Sure playing football can be fun, but so can fine dining.

Heck, one doesn't need to play impact sports.    People have injuries  
skiing, biking, and golfing (not to mention exposure).
