Well, maybe not. Without the distraction of the soltoxin attack and
Cordelia's illness, might Aral and Negri have managed the counter-coup
operations a bit better and arrested Vordarian before he got it off the
Christmas Day is being spent in a Hobbittean state of nature.
Barefoot, well-fed and vaguely contemplative, in other words.
Much preferable to that nasty, brutish and short stuff.
