For people, I meant.

Back 30 years ago "it" for a hermaphrodite, was something in reading one 
could look at and say/think "different culture, different tech, 
hermaphrodite, okay, "the past is a different country" and so is the future. 
It was a thought experiment.   Today metrosexuality is less disapproved

Many people default cats to "she".
