Oh, this is giving me "Dumarest" flashbacks.

Poor people travelled "Low" - frozen.

Rich people travelled "High" - with drugs that slowed their metabolism
1000:1, so they aged less slowly, but remained awake.

"Low" was far cheaper, but with a potential to die in transit (about
10%, IIRC).
