Agree. In Komarr, he came to grips with what had been his biggest
regret in his Dendarii career - Beatrice falling out of the shuttle in
Borders of Infinity. But he got a couple of new regrets to go with it,
including his decision to not fast penta what's her name. Madame

This is in response to Gwynne's musing about what Miles's possible mistakes are, and the following quote from Illvin's in Paladin of Souls. Wrong series, but I find it to be true enough in my own life that I remember it frequently:
> "I’ve made my share of mistakes, some”—he grimaced—“hideous indeed, as you well know. But it was the little, easy things—the kisses I did not give, and the love I did not speak, because there was no time, no place—and then, no chance . . . Surprisingly sharp sorrows those are, for their size. I think all our chances grow narrow, tonight. So I shall reduce my regrets—however brief—by one, at least . . .”
> I think for Miles that last skipped stop at Sergyar definitely makes the list. I'd be willing to bet that his other choices are similar small, easy actions. Easy, that is, until they aren't.
