Hmm. "WGW: 100 years on". That could be an interesting exercise.

GP: Very interesting. Because the Southern camps are bleeding people (a
dozen a year just from New Moon Cutoff, according to Tavia). And those are
mostly young people, who've left for a farmer partner. So there's a lot of
half-Lakewalker kids out there.

Some are taken back into the camps - they tested Calla and Indigo, and Calla
had enough ability but she wouldn't leave Indigo.

But after a few generations there's going to be a lot of farmers with some
ability - not much in most cases, but some. Just how much is enough to give
affinity? Calla has enough ability to qualify for the camp - does she have affinity?
What about Indigo? He has some uncanny abilities with horses, so there's some
spark there.

There's a growing pool of Lakewalker DNA in the farmer community. It's not
unrealistic to wonder if, in a few generations, some farmers will have affinity.

Hard to test, of course.
