Really enjoy the Lovejoy TV series on Acorn TV. Found the books rather more sexist and less fun than Ian McShane's version of Lovejoy. The whole being a "divvy" (found the spelling in conjunction with "Lovejoy") makes is so much more interesting---and the humor is excellent--if a little dated.
